Your tasks
Independent development of analogue and digital electronic circuits, analogue front-end sensor technology and signal processing, digital microcontroller circuits, power electronics.
- Creating concepts for the development of analogue and digital circuits according to project-specific requirements
- Independent clarification of the feasibility of the circuit design
- Independent development of electronic circuits, taking into account the hardware and software interfaces
- Creation of circuit diagrams and circuit board layouts, handling of circuit board production with subcontractors
- Programming the hardware, in particular the low-level firmware, in collaboration with the software development team
- Assembly, electrical and mechanical production of prototypes, tests
- Troubleshooting and optimisation, partly in collaboration with the software developers
- Creation of production instructions, functional descriptions (user manuals), test specifications, documentation and QA
- Troubleshooting and repair of electronic circuits
- Willingness to travel from Karlstein to Erlangen
Your profile
- Dipl.-Ing. in electrical engineering or comparable studies, with additional knowledge of microcontrollers and associated firmware as well as measurement technology
- Experience in the development of microcontroller firmware (C or C++) is an advantage
- Good knowledge of industry standards in the field of EMC and electrical safety is required
- Experience in EMC-compliant circuit design, as well as the corresponding tests and optimisations are desirable
- Prerequisite is an interest in interdisciplinary issues relating to mechanics (mechanical engineering), electrical engineering and measurement technology, software development
- In the long term, the aim is to become the department's internal product manager for sensor technology, i.e. knowledge of and interest in all types of mechanical and electrical sensors is an advantage
